Cheyenne Rouse, LCSW
Cheyenne Rouse, LCSW, is a warm and collaborative therapist providing individual counseling for adolescents and adults throughout Kentucky. Through both in-person and telehealth services, Cheyenne supports clients navigating anxiety, depression, trauma, life transitions, relationship concerns, and other challenges that can make everyday life feel difficult to manage. Her approach emphasizes connection, trust, curiosity, and authenticity, creating a space where clients can feel heard and accepted without judgment. As an EMDR-trained therapist with additional TBRI® training, Cheyenne draws from multiple evidence-based approaches to help clients better understand themselves, process difficult experiences, and develop strategies that fit their lives.
License/Certifications
Cheyenne Rouse is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) and provides psychotherapy to adolescents and adults in Kentucky.
Her additional training and certifications include:
EMDR-Trained through EMDRIA-approved training
Trust-Based Relational Intervention (TBRI®) Trained
These additional areas of training support Cheyenne's work with clients who are navigating trauma, difficult life experiences, relationships, attachment, and emotional challenges.
Personal Approach
Cheyenne believes everyone deserves a space where they can feel heard, accepted, and able to be themselves without fear of judgment. She values curiosity over judgment, progress over perfection, and authenticity over expectations.
Her therapy style is warm, conversational, and collaborative. Cheyenne believes therapy should feel more like a conversation than an interrogation. Rather than simply telling clients what they should do, she works alongside them by asking thoughtful questions, offering new perspectives, providing guidance, and introducing strategies that can be useful outside of therapy.
She also believes that trust and connection are an important part of the therapeutic process. Clients don't have to walk into their first session ready to share everything. There is time to get comfortable, build a relationship, and allow therapy to unfold at a pace that feels manageable.
Treatment Philosophy
Cheyenne believes that people carry strengths within themselves, even when difficult experiences have made those strengths harder to recognize or trust.
Her approach is individualized because therapy does not look the same for everyone. She draws from EMDR, cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT), solution-focused, and person-centered approaches, adapting treatment to each client's needs, goals, and comfort level.
Cheyenne is also interested in understanding the connections between past experiences and what may be happening in the present - including emotions, beliefs, relationships, and patterns of behavior. Therapy can provide space for difficult emotions while also leaving room for humor, laughter, growth, and moments of hope along the way.
